Hi everyone!
It's no secret that we've spent the last few months working on a new factions server that will be the latest addition to our vanilla network. Seeing as most of you voted for MC version 1.8, we've been adapting our ideas and content to fit this old -but gold!- standard. Now, while 1.8 is a tried and tested version that's been out for a very long time, it does come with its own set of limitations in terms of design, infrastructure and range of new content that we're able to implement.
DISCLAIMER
Technically, this is a BETA RELEASE, so it's likely that you will encounter bugs or inconsistencies along the way. Please be sure to report any issues so that we're able to improve. In the event that a major issue comes up that affects the server's stability, player and/or economy data could be wiped as part of the fixing process. 
With all that out of the way, allow me to introduce you to some of the key features of our new factions server. Extra features will be added over time based on player feedback and suggestions, while some of them (for example, kits) are currently in the works.

What's running behind the scenes?
At the heart of our server is a powerful factions plugin that comes with all the bells and whistles you've come to expect from a setup like this. Forge your very own faction and run it the way you like with an integrated, robust permissions system that allows for fine grained control over your faction members and the actions they are allowed to perform. Manage your faction money and TNT banks, create virtual faction chests, warps, missions and much more with ease. We've made a separate mini-guide topic here to help you get started with all the basic faction commands.
Warps: A new way to travel
Before we get into what warps are, let me give you a bit of context and explain why we're calling this 'SkyFactions'.
Basically, our main map consists of several large islands that come in all different shapes, sizes, biomes and custom terrain configuratons. As you can imagine, with over 25 different islands spread across the whole map, traversing the skylands is no easy feat. Even though most of the islands are relatively close to each other and not crazy hard to reach, you're probably going to need a more efficient way to move around. 
A major component of the new server that was quite complex and time consuming to implement is our custom warp setup that provides convenient access to about half the islands. There are a total of 12 warps set up (one for each of the biggest islands on the map), which you can access through our selector gui with /ws. Eight (8) of them (for the 4 biggest islands - 2 warps per island) are available to all players by default, while the rest of them can be unlocked via donor ranks (incrementally), or by getting yourself a Traveller's Pass.
What is a Traveller's Pass, you ask? It's basically your golden ticket that gives you full access to all warps. It can be purchased from our store or unlocked in-game using a token (rare crate reward) + cash combination. One of our future goals is to provide more in-game methods of getting access to premium convenience warps.

Note: If you're a donator with a network (global) rank (Network VIP/Premium/Sponsor/Sponsor+), you should submit a re-activation request (following the template provided) in order to have your rank activated in SkyFactions. Server ranks (VIP and Premium) will also be available to purchase in our store very soon.

I'll be quick. All the Vanilla Staff wants to open a Factions server! But our main decision have to be: Which version will be use? 
We are thinking about using the 1.18/1.17.1 (lastest ones) or 1.8 as the old factions we had!
So, we are here to ask u and do a poll to see what all of u guys think!
 
 
For some players who don't know what "Factions" is:
"Factions is a Minecraft plugin that, due to its complexity and functions, could be considered a game mode in itself. It allows to create a complete PVP based server with lots of functions and configurable features. Its name comes from the English FACTION or clan. This plugin allows the creation of clans to have a protected base in common and to be able to attack other enemies together."
Some features: 
"- Creation of Factions with invitations, ranks and permissions
- Protection of zones by chunks (16x16x254)
- Relationship system between factions: enemies, allies and neutrals.
- Power system (power) that is gained by spending time on the server and is lost by dying. Power allows you to protect more areas.
- Creation of safe zones (safezone) and war zones (warzone) with special characteristics
- Chat settings to show faction ranks and status"

Following our Discord announcement, this is where you can post your parkour submission videos in order to be eligible to win a Santa prefix! Pretty self-explanatory, but the person with the best time on the 23rd of December (you can check the lobby leaderboard for this), gets the Santa prefix as shown here for the whole month of January.

After a very long time, we've finally been able to get a new spawn building for the Assassin's Craft server. It took a little longer than expected to set it all up and there are still plenty of details for our Build Team to work on over the course of the next few days, but it's there for all of you to enjoy. Honestly, we think it looks absolutely stunning!

Hello I'm Taquito, a player a little old server which I think I've been playing since 2012/2013, before I called me bananaboy900 (I know I like to call me as food xD) after buying a premium account I decided to call me Taquito and return to the server that gave me so many hours of fun, not only in assasin craft but also in Hiipo plot, I always liked the theme that have given the server and after a while without knowing the return and I'm having a great time
Right now I'm doing live on the Twitch platform. Also I want to ask if it is not too much trouble the Streamer rank, which I had already been told to ask for it just yesterday.

Hola soy Taquito, un jugador un poco viejo del servidor el cual creo que llevo jugando desde el 2012/2013, antes me llamaba bananaboy900 (lo se me gusta llamarme como comida xD) después de comprarme una cuenta premium decidí llamarme Taquito y regresar al servidor que tantas horas de diversión me dio, no solo en assasin craft si no también en Hiipo plot , siempre me a gustado la temática que le han dado al servidor y después de un tiempo sin saber de el regreso y me la estoy pasando muy bien....

Good esteemed craftersland players of all servers, this is aimed both at users who play mod servers, as well as those who still play network today. In Pure survival I have created a mushroom like those of the mushroom biome, but with blocks of wool and pink glass, and it has some posters, whoever finds it will get the Premium + rank for 4 months for the server that they want.
 
The rules are easy, when you find the mushroom put a protection block to take it, on the mushroom there is a sign with my discord with which you can communicate with me and proceed to the rank transfer.
 
These are the 3 clues that I will give:
- No nether
- No END
- Not Oceans or Underground
