  1. So you're wanting to create a new town and you don't know how? Well here is a simple command list for MyTown! Basic Commands: /t new {town-name} - This is how you will create your town (Costs $30)! /t claim - This will claim chunks for your town, to see chunks hit f9. This costs $5 per chunk, so claim wisely. /t setspawn - After you claimed your chunks make sure you set the spawn so you can get back to your base! (using /t spawn) /t invite {playername} - This is how you can invite other players to join your town! /t kick {playername} - Kicks that player out of your town. /t friend add {playername} - to trust someone to access things in your town without inviting them. /t leave - Makes you leave the town. /t accept - Joins a town you have been recently invited too. /t info [townname] - Shows the members in a town. /t res [playername] - Shows the town a player is currently in. /t spawn [townname] - Teleports you to the home of that town. /t map - Shows town claims around you. Advanced Commands: Town Permissions - Towns have specific permissions to protect them from griefs and allow them to customize their towns. /t perm town - This lists all the permissions for a town Noteworthy permissions include [bc] (To allow quarries and other buildcraft machines) and [ccturtles] (To enable computercraft turtles in your claim). /t perm town set [key] [value] - This changes the permission for the town Each key is listed in /t perm town in: [] example: Example commands: /t perm town set bc true (This allows build craft machines to be used in your entire town). /t perm plot set bc true (This allows build craft machines to be used only in this chunk). Town Ranks: Towns only have 3 ranks, Resident, Assistant, and Mayor. /t mayor {playername} - This transfers mayor to a different player (Must be mayor to use). /t assistant [add]/[remove] {playername} - this makes a player assistant and allows them to invite, claim, kick and setspawn or removes them as an assistant (Must be mayor to use this command).
  2. Hey there! I dont know exact how the town system works, but can we do a town tax of like $10 each day? The biggest reason for this, (if it works like that) that players can remove other peoples bases when they are afk for like a month... aka their money ran out and the town got disbanded and with it the protection of the base. For the more advanced players this shouldnt be a problem as they have enough stuff to sell to have a big wallet (wrong place to ask but: Can you tax your residents of your town? into the towns bank, if they own plots in your town) Greetings MadJokez
  3. I'm not to sure if the newer version of MyTown would work or not but is there a chance of looking in to it as MyTown2 has more options for Towns for some key examples https://github.com/MyEssentials/MyTown2 `/town borders show` Shows the borders of the town by visually replacing some of the blocks with lapis blocks. and no you cant mine the lapis blocks `/town bank deposit <amount>` Transfers a certain `amount` from the player's balance to the town's bank.
  4. Hey im trying to make a certain area within my town a private area. And i know i can do this with plots but plots are confusing. If anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated
  5. If you try to get in a protected area but you don't have the permission to go in, you may crash the server. Every time you try to connect, you spawn at the exact same place and crash the server again and again. So you have to get away from there asap. To do this, you have to change your ip, (so you'll be tped to the spawn). Problem solved. So what you have to do: 1. Click here to download IP Hider Pro 2. Extract it using WinRAR (or something else) 3. Launch "iphiderpro-setup.exe" (After Install don't Launch/Run Application !!!) 4. Run "Crack.exe" from the Crack folder 5. Start IP Hider Pro (e.g. from desktop) 6. Chose a country (IP), and click Connect 7. Join the server now and login. (Don't do /back !!! ) 8. Disconnect the server, turn off IP Hider Pro and Reconnect the server. 9. Have fun!
  6. So, there is a bit of an issue with some MinefactoryReloaded items in FTB 1.7, such as the planter, harvester, sewer, and auto-spawner. This is because of they act like players, and if you have modifyBlocks set to false, then they won't be able to interact with anything, and they will just turn into an item. The perm modifyBlocks allows players to break blocks in your town, and it is dangerous to have it on, as it allows griefing. Here is how you can fix this issue. First, enter this command: /town perm town set modifyBlocks true This will allow you to place your block without it breaking. It also allows it to work. Next, place down the block, harvester, planter, whatever. Make sure it is facing the correct way. Now, enter this command: /town perm town whitelist add modifyBlocks You will receive a wooden hoe with some text on it. This is your selector tool, and you right click with it on the block that you want to be exempt from the modifyBlocks rules. Now your block is able to be used without breaking when you return the modifyBlocks rule back to false. Enter this command next: /town perm town set modifyBlocks false Now your machine will work, and nobody can break your stuff! EDIT: There is also another method. You make sure modifyBlocks is set to false, and you place a block of dirt where you want your machine. Then you enter the whitelist command, and hit the dirt with the selector hoe. Next, break the dirt and place your machine. Now it wont break and become an item, and it will work. EDIT: There is an issue with BC pumps. It will cause a crash if you try to use it in your town without changing a perm. Use this command to fix this: /town perm town set pumps true
