Withers destroyed spawner on my SF4 island (IGN 7ekhed)

I was on my SF4 base at my wither spawner. My mob crusher had lost power, and withers spawned. This wither spawner cost me 10k for the egg, and hours and hours to max out and get. When the withers spawned, they started moving about and shooting about, when one of them moved through my spawner, and destroyed it. Please, can someone help me, this spawner cost me 10k to get, plus hours and hours of time just to get to the level of efficiency it was at, just to get destroyed in a second...
