Dragon just randomly dissapeared

Just got a dragon egg, hatched it, feed it so many times so it would get to stage 3, was happy, flew it around for about 10 minutes, 300m from home it just despawns/disappears and i fall into the ocean. I NEED HELP AND ANSWERS
