Recently, there has been ongoing issue wherein a player's villager hall got wiped out ( specifically enchants that are essential). As far as I know, it was still under investigation, but when I logged in the next day. I have experienced the same issue : "My villagers are missing".

I lost three villagers.... Two essential ones and the other one that I can just forgive bout happening. I have no clue how it happened since I wasn't around.
The possibilities I could think of are entities spawning inside the hall (event spawns?) and killing the villagers. Another is entity-culling which has been a known issue from other villager breeders ( I think there is a certain limit of entities within  the chunk as far as I know). Lastly, player instigated murders which is considered and punishable for griefing.

Because of these possibilities and the known fact that these villagers aren't recoverable by any means, wouldn't it be better to bring back the player's authority to adjust flags ? Specifically, enter-claims to avoid unwanted players or entities inside the claim and entity-spawn/entity-damage flags to disable event spawns in the area or if that's not possible then at least make the hostile entities unable to damage villagers with entity-damage set to false

I think this should be reconsidered issue as the best course of action right now is  just investigating the culprit which doesn't solve the issue of prevention from happening.

Hi, thank you for bringing this to our attention, after some thinking the following things have been updated/changed.

  • The Entity-Damage claimflag will not be left up to the playerbase, it opens the door for exploits and severe griefing.

  • Enter-Claim claimflag will remain true globally, turning this off defeats the purpose of RLCraft.

  • Some claimflags should be left up to the playerbase, if you want to reply below and suggest some, I will pitch them to the team and consider them.

I do agree that the villager griefing is getting out of hand, and that something needs to be done about it, I will look into expanding our death logging plugin to also overlook mob types.

For now, please keep your villagers, and any mob of value Away from places that a playerbase could access, behind solid blocks, not doors.

On another note, if this issue pops up again, please post a claim rollback, as we can get them back that way :)

May I suggest then to set the entity-damage globally to false for every claim? Right now it is set to true even inside a claim, so at least the mobs spawning inside the claim cannot hurt the villagers. The claimflag will still be under the admins authority then. Still, players who grief villagers in a claim can still bypass this problem since some weapons can still hurt them.

Otherwise, I want to petition for playerbase to have access for entity-spawn flag since it will also prevent mob spawns from spawning inside the claim and also have the ability to claim the breeder without the trouble of claiming and unclaiming it. ( enter-claim isn't also viable option as stated so cant surround the breeder with non accessible claimed land)

I would also like claimflag entity-teleport-from to be upto playerbase... so the claim owner/trusted players can be the only ones who can access the claim and not allow any other players ( friends from other trustees ) to teleport inside the claim with convenience from the trusted player into the claim.

I hope these be reconsidered as much as I tightened the security of my base ( I don't use normal doors but piston doors ) but there are still glitching loopholes that players can use like using ender talisman on a certain angle to glitch thru blocks as what I have witnessed from last wipe.

Thanks.
