Im now creating this as a forum suggestion to allow all users to provide feedback, information, etc.

As most of you are aware that RLCraft has no area to preserve server relics, maybe a sign or so at spawn, but nothing else.

This would suggest a dimension dedicated to telling a story of Craftersland RLCraft which everyone could contribute to it, it would contain so far the end bunker, it would also be a publicly managed product, where everyone has a voice on what should and shouldn’t be added.

It would need a build team, which could be a replacement to redoing spawn.

I ask that if you, again have any feedback below to please respond :)

I do believe that it has some promises here. It would basically be a world for builders and story tellers alike. I would have it open for the community to experiment with builds that tell the history and story of our server,

For some Q/A for it.

- Will it effect server tps?

No, RLCraft is a extremely stable pack, even with the 6 dims we have now, the server still averages 20 tps.

- Could anyone submit a build for the Legends world?
Yes! They will be put up to a community vote and then vetoed/approved by it.

- What exactly is this dimension?

It would be a area where its entire purpose is to tell a story of the server, it would be a massive area separated into different parts per time period, where each marks a important time in it (Ex, Clan Wars starting.).

Not a good idea, server already has its issues. Trying to add an extra dimension while not being able to maintain the current ones is ridiculous. And not to mention the tps loss (just that you say it wont affect tps doesnt mean it actually doesnt). Also the server 'avaraging 20 fps' means it often (for instance an entire week with mimic week) will be at 5-7 tps. Don't bring that number down to 4 just like on sf4.

You cant shoot it down for a tps issue until you try it.

Also, the server doesn't experience TPS issues, its averaging across the days around 19.97

The mimic week lag is caused by players flying around at lightspeed, I cannot control that.

I think it would be a good idea tbh, Like said before, it could be like a piece of history in the server for players, news and old, to discuss!

PLUS, gives the server more player built things to run across or just check out which I've always loved personally!

I think this is a spectacular idea and I'd like to offer my services for a note block song. If anyone has any ideas for a song that would fit the theme of craftersland I'd love to make something that fits the vibe.

In my experience this is actually one of the best servers in terms of lag. The best proof I can provide for this is that my note block songs usually sound correct which is usually an indication that there's little if not zero lag.

Measuring server tps while on a ghost server doesn't really mean anything. Measure it at the peak of day when the servers are restored.

Also I agree you cant control people flying at lightspeed, but what you can control is not making it worse by making a sixth dimension only as an hall of fame. I'd suggest making such a place in overworld, claim it as admin and give people plots to write their server history etc.

The main reason for tps dropping during mim week is the same cause as when raid world is reset. Folks go out to get to fresh structures forcing the server to spawn in chunks noones been in. Mimic week they are going for chests yes but its the same concept they are going out into the raid as hard and fast as they can. This has always been the case with new raid worlds. The mimics by themselves don't generate that much lag.

Honestly, we cant put it beneath spawn due to the fact that this is going to be a mega project and a 500x500 area isnt enough.

adding another dimension has no effect on tps period, Raid isnt a dimension thats supposed to exist, but it does.

2000x2000  flat world mob spawn, pvp false  ony use for storage and there will be cap for claiming . It can be temporary world untill problems fix. what you guys think ?

Raid most definitly IS a dimension thats supposed to exist on the server since the worldborder is 10kx10k. So new players would not be able to progress properly without raid since everything will be looted. And how are you in need of 2000x2000, gonna make a rememberance for the scar? 😂

I like the idea. If we ever start doing season specific spawns, it could be cool to add those there as well so people could look at all the past spawns.

I think communal locations, such as public villager halls (if one is ever made again lol), cool clan megabases, and public PvP arenas should also be included. Even things like prebuilt kitty’s cult sacrifice rooms could be a cool addition, or any playermade structures which add lore to help boost the amount of structures in the dimension. It could have lecterns with books in front of each structure with a story explaining the structure’s origin, what it was used for, season year, and builder (if there is one).

As others have said, this will not cause TPS issues.

To clarify if it was unclear why: TPS (ticks per second) is the servers way of measuring how much time has passed. 20 TPS is ideal, and means the server is running perfectly, but anything above 17 TPS is virtually indistinguishable from 20 TPS unless you are doing something that is heavily reliant on timing (such as condos songs).

The main cause of TPS lag on this server is the loading of chunks which have not been generated before. This is why week one on the server had much lower TPS, as the overworld was still constantly being explored and loaded by everyone. Now, TPS drops are primarily caused by raid world exploration (especially those few who like to travel tens or hundreds of thousands of blocks out from raid spawn, and even moreso, those who use /speed to facilitate this). Mimic week had low TPS because it increased the number of players in raid loading new chunks, stressing the server.

A legends/museum dimension would have no people loading new chunks, since people would be staying in the museum area, so it would not decrease TPS in the way raid does.

This is what the end bunker is currently. There is no need to make another world.

Staff do need to stay on top of room requests though, since there are at least 3 players who need one and have not gotten one as of yet, meaning they basically cannot play: you, bootetoballs, and budggiee (bud had one but it was deleted with end reset because it was made after the bunker save was taken).

Room size is something I can see being an issue soon, since they were definitely not designed to be large enough for active players to live in for a week or longer.

I'm 100% on board with this as it could mean massive projects or events and such could be kept on the server for future wipes from what I'm hearing? I really like this as it means things like condors music castle from this wipe might be saved or even large towns and such with many members/impressive builds (Assuming enough people like said projects.)

I don’t believe you understand my point, Raid was a player suggested dimension, its not intended by the modpack creator. Also you again misunderstood, we would have the world as whats equivalent to a historical record, I would take a little chunk of the scar and put it in it probably.
