All Chickens on my Island in Skyfactory 3 Disappeared

I was at spawn next to my chickens, I had several diamond chickens, several emerald chickens, several XP chickens and two of each type of other chicken (and several leather chickens). When I was online with my friends, suddenly, and without warning all my chickens disappeared. My rooster was still there, villagers too. But every chicken just vanished, I think I hit the mob cap or something? I really don't know why this happened... we tried relogging and waiting for a server refresh, but nothing. I don't really care about the other chickens, but I worked hard to get those XP chickens so I'm really bummed they're all gone.
