As you may already know Tekkit was updated this week to v1.1.10, you can find detalis about the new stuff below:
Tekkit 1.1.10 is now marked Recommended in the launcher, and users will be asked to update the next time they attempt to launch Tekkit. This is a minor version update over 1.1.8- we've updated Applied Energistics and added QuantumCraft.
The build includes the following changes:
> Added qCraft 1.0.1. New quantum ore generated at lower depths, even on existing maps. See www.qcraft.org for more info.
> Updated Applied Energistics to version 13.c.
> The server package now comes pre-packaged with FML satellite libs to reduce server load for our friends at Forge.

Also we wiped the server and installed the new stuff and tried to fix some problems that we had on the previews tekkit version.

> server messages updated to a new format
> new chat system with 3 chat channels: Local, Global and Trade
> new server shops
> new vips shops
> Nether portals can be created by all players, no need for a server portal any more.
