itsRyanDavid Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Hi. I understand that restarts are nessesary to keep the server healthy and lag-free. But I feel like they are extremely inconvenient. On multiple occasions, I have been crafting something in a crafting bench and was not aware of a restart, before I could do anything the server had already shut down. I have lost lots of hard work due to these random restarts, might I add. I can only suggest adding a longer warning timer, giving us about a minute to make sure everything is how we want it to be, and giving more warnings, such as a 1 min warning, 30 seconds warning, and then a 10-0 second warning.. Hope you consider this suggestion. Many thanks.
rmtworks Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Normally the server is supposed to give 30, 15, 10 minute warnings and so on. Unfortunately, as you well know, those don't work very often. However when you do lose things due to restarts, you can ask a staff member to refund you the items that you have lost.
Founder brunyman Posted February 3, 2016 Founder Posted February 3, 2016 Hi, the scheduled restart will warn players before, but, if the server is crashing the server may restart without warning, i think that's the issue, but you can always ask for lost stuff to be refunded
itsRyanDavid Posted February 4, 2016 Author Posted February 4, 2016 Okay. Thanks for the fast and prompt replies. I didn't loose much, thankfully, but it does get quite annoying when you're in the middle of the crafting bench crafting a complicated item and bam.. the server shuts down...
