karl-police
While trying to find a new server since the last one reset the entire world and people left, I tried to find a new server basically... joining multiple new ones where each one works different and I hear complains and non complains that are just confusing and all these complains seem to be issues that FTB Team could fix somehow. So while trying to talk in the chat and getting interupted by something like this: -------------------------- HELLO I OPEN A CRATE -------------------------- and having this friendly reminder of vote party that you can't disable: I've thought about the banned items and the golden shovel. I've used /rtp a few times and seen houses and other things being griefed. Where I've been told with play time you will gain more claimable blocks, but a chunk is 16x16 and in total blocks 256. New players don't even have enough blocks to claim all their "mod builds" and do not gain that much over time, while on the last server you could reach 1000 or higher in like 2 days. So it's not even a replacement for the FTBUtils claimable chunk and should move back to vanilla. And I don't have to sacrifice two inventory slots where you just have to sacrifice one which is fine. You get also 10 blocks per 10 minutes. Apperantly someone said that the golden shovel claim thing is ment for vanilla and should be combined with the FTBUtils claimable chunks so the vanilla stuff is protected by "its stuff" and the FTBUtils is protecting the mod stuff. So server owners had to modify the "golden claim" thing apperantly, and if I try to compare this with another server which has the exact same thing. With the exact same thing I mean the exact same thing, I'm not sure what exactly the difference here should be... hm My opinion the FTBUtils can claim more and easier, it is visible and doesn't cause any issue and doesn't load chunks at all, it's fine. Probably stores it with chunk coordinates like this y19 x29 or something. And all that the golden claim was modified too is nothing else like the original FTBUtils I guess??? and I can believe that some explosive devices can destroy the other property. When there are modpacks, things are bigger as in, base's space and all that stuff and I think some servers have rules that you can not have the same machine in the same chunk due to lag purposes I'm not sure if it's actually gonna help to not put everything in one chunk. So not sure if the golden shovel is fine but as far as I remember there are servers and you had like 2 chunks in less than 2 seconds claimed with just two clicks and the server did not crash at all. But they do have item cleaner for some reason Tbh, I don't care about the portal gun and thing but the Block Breaker the thing that causes 1 block after it damage gets banned and maybe breaks some cool features and builds you could have done with it. If actually someone spent time copy pasting the FTBUtils into the golden shovel claim or actually making it by their own, not sure. Then why not stick with the FTB Team and help to fix the FTBUtils so everyone can somehow profit from it At the end both is the same both is a selection of blocks you run hooks and functions on. And apperantly there are a few lags and someone says, "The server never lags". as sarcasm and uses ._. emote and idk tbh. So the server does lag, it has a lot of votes though, oh the crates yeah idk I'mma just hit enter now pls fix and I can't touch my inventory in someones claim.... Founder brunyman Posted April 24, 2020 Founder Share Posted April 24, 2020 Hi, we use GriefPrevention for lad protection as it is better integrated with our plugin ecosystem and is more flexible and complex. We lowered the claim block price to 10, so players can expand max claim size by buying blocks easier.
