Server save wiped my dragon egg when it was hatching. Can i get it back?

Hello, my in game name is OrangeJam. I was in the process of hatching my red dragon egg when server save wipes my dragon egg when it was in the process of hatching. I don't know if this is a bug because it's happening to other people as well. Is there any chance someone could give me it back? Because this has happened to me twice now in regards to trying to hatch a dragon. I hope someone can help me out with this because to loose 2 dragon eggs is super demoralising.
