Trying to join Tekkit server, but I don't understand how to find "the password"

When I connect to the server, it asks me to /login and provide "the password". I have no idea what "the password" is. I tried using the password I created this forum account with, but that didn't work. I can't find any instructions or guidance on what to do. The server says visit the forums, but even finding this Tekkit sub-forum was troublesome, and I can't find any information regarding what steps I should be taking.
