Assumed server configuration issue: Woot: Power cells only accepting 1kRF/t per side

Hi,

on the server I noticed that the Power Cells for the Woot factories are limited to taking in 1kRF/t per connected side (I. e. max. 5k/t when connecting all five possible sides). This was confirmed with Flux Networks, Cryo-Stabilized Fluxducts, EnderIO ender energy conduits, and creative and vibrant capacitor banks from EnderIO, and using both Advanced Power Cells and Premium Power Cells (JEI showing the "correct", big number regarding the max. transfer rate though).
Here an example from the server (Tier 4 farm was built in creative mode, with Premium Power Cell, two creative capacitor banks, and the other sides connected with fluxducts, conduits, and a vibrant capacitor bank for demonstration purposes) - as you can see, it is limited to 5k:

If I start the same mod pack (v3.6.0, always using CraftersLand launcher) in single player creative, an identical build maxes out an EnderIO creative power bank at 50k/t, and with two creative power banks the Woot farm runs at full performance, as expected:

Therefore I do believe this being a server-side configuration issue, albeit not having looked into the Woot configuration details.
Could someone please look into that matter? Spawning ender dragons requiring 177MRF is less fun when limited to 5kRF/t...
Thank you!

Hello there,

I have personally used Woot for the ender dragon and even the chaos dragon, and can confirm the power cells do work as intended. I'm not really sure why they are not working. Has this become a recent problem or have you just started Woot and got this bug? Also, have you tried moving the Woot factory to a completely different chunk? Sometimes the chunks get buggy when too much data is stored in them, for some reason.

Hi,

as pointed out, the problem occurs at modpack version 3.6.0 (Craftersland launcher). I, too, have successfully played with Woot on this server before the 3.6.0 update - since you do not specify whether you played pre or post update, I am hence assuming you also played pre update.

To clarify: This was the first time me attempting this under 3.6.0 Craftersland launcher, and in Single Player it works as intended, as opposed to multiplayer.

In my multiplayer creative build I have a couple farms set up, my entire setup spanning an area of several chunks, but all farms showing the same behavior, and out of which at least one Tier IV farm being contained in exactly one chunk. In addition I tried to reassemble the farm in survival mode, using creative items and The Intern, and again in only one chunk - no behavioral change.

Behavior was witnessed by another player (whose name I just forgot, I'm afraid; but can try and figure out if that's important). Farms in question can be visited at -3,945 / 53 / 25.

Please confirm the following server settings in config/woot/woot.cfg (Default values from Woot GitHub):

factorypower {
    # Power cost per spawn unit
    I:powerPerSpawnUnit=1

    # Factory needs at least the power per tick or power is consumed and thrown away
    B:strictPower=false

    # Receive power limit for a Tier I cell
    I:t1PowerRxTick=1000

    # Default power cost per tick of a Tier I factory
    I:t1PowerTick=80

    # Receive power limit for a Tier II cell
    I:t2PowerRxTick=10000

    # Default power cost per tick of a Tier II factory
    I:t2PowerTick=160

    # Receive power limit for a Tier III cell
    I:t3PowerRxTick=2147483647

...

Thank you!

The server was updated to 3.6.0 on June 4th, 2022, and I have in fact played after the update. I'll be on later today to take a look at my setup and see if it's still working and have a peak at your setup and see if I, or we if you're on later, can figure this out. I can have sonyx double check the config but I'm pretty sure it's setup right :P

Alrighty so I TP'd to your base and had a look at what was happening. You can everything setup just fine but for some reason, your power cells seem to have capped themself to a certain tier. Not entirely sure how or why it capped itself but it did. I spawned in a new one to test to see if that was the issue and it was. A newly created/spawned in power cell fixed the issue and your woot factory started gaining power. I'll attach pictures so you can see for future issues. As you can see, it gave itself a "tier" value.

This is what a power is supposed to look like when you hover over it.

I removed the one I spawned in and replaced it with the other one. You'll need to spawn another one in or created another one to fix the issue. Let me know if the issue is fixed after you replace the power cell, please!

Hi,

indeed, your observation was correct: Spawning in any power cell in creative mode adds said NBT (?) tag which somehow always seems to cap the power intake to 1k/t/side, no matter the actual contents of the tag.

Crafting a power cell in survival mode from creative items solved the problem; now no NBT tag is present, and it works as intended.

I wonder whether this might be related to the "spawned in by player xxx" tag the server adds to each creative item? Since the other player/witness I mentioned before (Moonlight_Auraa) also played around with my setup and replaced the power cells with ones that he spawned in himself in creative, this behavior seems to be player independent. No idea why it worked for you though - assuming that because of your status the server does not add this "spawned in by xxx" tag to the items you spawn in in creative?

Anyhow, thank you very much for your help - would never have guessed or expected that. Maybe/hopefully this discovery could be helpful to others too.

Guess this thread can therefore be closed now.
