When I was researching about the drug modafinil, I learned that one of its strengths is 400 mg and I began to wonder whether that is a standard dose. The information that I want to get is the general medical information and not personal recommendations.

According to my understanding, modafinil is a prescription medication that is used to treat patients who have certain sleep disorders to make them feel awake. Can we say that the strength of the medication determines how good it will be for the patient? Also, can it be possible for the medication amount to be determined by the disorder that the person has?

Is it possible that a higher dose leads to side effects like headache, nausea, anxiety, dizziness, and trouble sleeping? Are there any other conditions where modafinil needs to be used with extreme care?

Finally, when looking for information about modafinil online, I found out that it can be misleading sometimes. For example, when you are considering taking modafinil, what are the things you need to discuss with a doctor or a pharmacist before using the medication?

I just want to know more about this 400 mg modafinil.
