enchantments

DonKash posted a topic in Server Problems

Hello today i added ran across a fortune 3 enchantment book, seeing how i had a silk touch pickaxe i decided to add the fortune 3 to it. Upon spending the 20 levels changing the name and making sure it was going to enchant it took the book and did not enchant the item. Is this normal or was there something that happened?
