  1. Exactly what it says on the title (and sheesh first post? You would've think there be some posts beforehand). Not sure if this is good enough to post but oh well. The flower displays were made weeks ago, but I figured people would enjoy seeing this. Shown below are a few species of flowers, with a variety of colors. A few are familiar, like dandelions, peonies and tulips. Others are Botany's additions, like hydrangeas and cornflowers. The species and color names are listed on the signs, below the flowers. I had to reduce the images' sizes to go below the max total allowed, so sorry for the quality. Coords are +3600, +6330 if you want a full look. The flowers themselves took several generations of crossbreeding, and the flowers shown are the ones I found most attractive, out of the many specimens that came and go. As for the woodwork, those are made with the Extra Trees' Woodworker and Panelworker (you can't see them, but the panels are at the ends of the grass rows). The blocks themselves are made with cherry and plum planks. If you have any questions, ask away. I'll answer them the best I can. Cheers.
  2. Update 12/22/23: Definitely late, but added final entry before Yearly wipe. Added clarification as well. Update 12/6/23: Added more entries and add clarification. Update 11/23/23: Added another entry. (Small update: Binnie's told me I'm hallucinating, apparently.) Update 11/17/23: Added another entry. Update 11/16/23: Added another entry to the date list and added clarification. Update 11/9/23: Added another entry. Update 11/3/23: Added another entry to the date list and added clarification. ----- Hi! I have a few technical issues I want addressed here with the server, 1 major and 2 of lesser degrees, but all of them relate to Forestry/Binnie's in some way. ----- First off, the main issue, which is also the reason I'm making this post in the first place. I've been repeatedly losing save data with Forestry/Binnie's at random intervals, with no apparent rhyme or reason. This includes discovered species, escritoire research, and, with the addition of Binnie's, gene sequences. Any attempted efforts to progress would end up meaningless, as data loss could happen at any moment. This makes any breeding efforts (and with Binnie's Genetics, genetic modification) unnecessarily more difficult, if not practically impossible. (I'm developing a plan as I go to mitigate this, for the time being.) This has been happening since at least September, and probably since 1.2.1 or even earlier, given how nobody seem to noticed, or if they did, didn't realized how bad it is or make an issue of it. I personally didn't make any real efforts on this until after my sequenced genes evaporated. I don't know if other mods in the modpack have similar issues like this (except for ProjectE, which is working fine as is), with save data tied to the player, so probably check them out as well. As of current writing, the times (EST Zone) when the data losses (or reverts) happened, from latest to earliest, are somewhere between or around: * Dec 7? - Dec 8 6:20 PM * Dec 5 11:00 AM - 6:45 PM (Reverted back to Dandelion and Peony again.) * Nov 30 - Dec 5 11:00 AM (Took a break from modpack, data was gone.) * Nov 23, 6:00? - 7:00PM (Reverted to just a peony.) (Addenum: It reverted back to the previous entry.) * Nov 16, 6:10?PM - Nov 17, 10:20 AM (Definitely reverted to an earlier save, as I did not analyze a Dandelion nor Peony between this entry and the previous one.) * Nov 16, 8:10AM - 6:10 PM EST * Nov 9, 5:00? - 6:00 PM EST (Seems to have reverted to an earlier save of Dandelion, Tulip, Peony & MAYBE Coneflower.) * Nov 2, Approximately 6:15 PM EST * Oct 25 - Oct 26 * Oct 18 - Oct 19 * Oct 12 - Oct 13 Screenshots attached provide an example of before and after a data loss. The first screenshot below shows discovered and researched flower species, with Dandelion's mutations, displayed within Genetics' Registry, before the Oct 12 - 13 data loss. The second screenshot shows the aftermath of the data loss. Note how few flower species are displayed. This also wiped tree, bee, butterfly, and gene data as well. There are also data losses that happened further back, but I didn't take screenshots to mark my progress and losses back then, and thus unable to pinpoint when they happened. I wish to have this issue resolved first and quickly so I, and potentially others in the future, can finally make some real progress. ----- So, to the second issue. This specifically deals with Extra Trees' drinking glasses (And NOT Core's Bottle). If I attempt to fill any glass with the sufficient amount of fluid, it will appear filled for a fraction of a second before the fluid disappears. The fluid is TECHNICALLY still there, which can be confirmed by checking the NBT count before and after filling the glass. It's still possible to "drink" from the glass, and it will return the NBT count back to one, but it won't give any effect. You can "drink" the glass further, but nothing more will happen. I did test for this in singleplayer and nothing of the above happened, which led to me believe some server settings are interfering with the glasses. My only wild guesses is that some TPS preserving or even somehow anti-grief measures are causing this, and I don't know what else could cause this to happen. I would like this to be resolved after the first issue, or at the very least done in parallel. ----- Final issue, but it is so insignificant I wouldn't really be too bothered if you left it alone, but I think it is worth saying. There's an improper interaction with Genetics' Sequencer and the server's own chunk-loader plugin. If I leave the loaded chunk, the Sequencer will finish its current operation, but will not start its next until I physically return the chunk. This will happen every time I leave the chunk and don't return until after the current operation has finished. I have tested Railcraft's Personal Worldspike and it actually works nicely with the Sequencer, although there's a tendency for the Worldspike to explode, which might be unrelated. Still, would be nice for this to be worked on, but only AFTER the previous 2 issues are addressed. ----- I hope to get a response soon, even if its an explanation why a specific issue cannot be worked on. For contact, KarnCanine in Discord and Karnva_R_Evo ingame. And I will, if asked, provide further relevant screenshots and answer questions to the best of my ability. Cheers, and thank you.
