Lost Everything On Death

Hello, sorry to bother but I need to know the truth.
I fell from a tree in my island, and broke my legs to death on the wooden floor.
Upon respawning, all my items were gone, but now in this forum I see that gravestones are placed on death. Now, I can't seem to find mine, so the question is:
are gravestone still enabled? Is there a way to regain my stuff back?

Was the floor a slab block? The graves spawn under slabs. If you still can't find it or can't get too it I can help.

Yes, the floor was half slab, didn't know that.
If possible I'd rather prefer if you can put the things back on my inv, because there's nothing under the main layer and I'd prefer to not lose all my belongings.
