  1. 1. Should Tekkit allow tp scamming?

  2. 2. Should Tekkit allow town friend / trick town member scamming?

KingsMan got banned for it before:

1

Scamming in trades rmtworks 22:21:49 29/12/15 2 days Thranduel 14:35:09 30/12/15 CraftersLand Network Servers 2 Scamming in trades & Ban Evading Thranduel 14:35:31 30/12/15 4 days Console 14:35:38 03/01/16 CraftersLand Network Servers

And I think I saw Andrew and Rmtworks warned players for scamming.

Ever since I started playing Tekkit again, I thought because a staff said, scamming is against the rules.  So that means, if you say come see my base and then kill them and steal their stuff its against the rules.  Or, if you say let's trade something or help me with something and kill them and steal their stuff it's against the rules.  Or you say I'm joining you town but then you just steal everything and leave (to everyone).

Well now there has been lots of scamming and I thought well they will be punished:

There is griefer called Ivo9 who was blatantly breaking the rule of scamming by tp killing, but there is no ban punishment for him, the complaint post is ignored.  I even have screenshots of him scamming and attacking players spawning in at spawn.

http://forum.crafter...50-tpkill-ivo9/

PortalAtlas also pretended to be his friend and then stole all his items, another scam.

Kieron has been asking people to join their towns and then steals from them over and over which is also scamming.

I saw Enchantman also trying to pull the same trick, trying to be friends and then attacking them when they leave their claim which is also scamming.

I think it kinda ruins the server because then you can't trust as much people.

But then GM Thranduel said here http://forum.craftersland.net/topic/15275-owner-brunyman-complaint-about-unfair-staff-ban-creative-mode-grief/

That there is no rule against that, so he can't punish them.  Ever since then, more people have been scamming and it is worse.  I would probably scam too if I knew I can't get in trouble so watch out.

As you can see, there isn't any rule about scamming.  Those are probably the rules most players and Thranduel looks at.  Are there different rules somewhere else?  Because then maybe we can change them so they all say the same thing so it's not confusing.  Or maybe add a part that says "If you kill in town its against the rules. If you tp to someone and they arent in town and they kill you.thats your own fault" or "Scamming isn't allowed when there is items/money involved"

Because I legit was about to go scam everyone thinking that was allowed, how would I have known I have to talk to PortalAtlas and faves and ignore Thranduel to find out this?

Hi.

I wrote most of those Tekkit rules.

We redesigned them a month ago and they were never implemented.

Powerwarp has been busy I guess, but i re-wrote them and added Scamming.

Scamming does come under common sense and you cannot appeal it's punishment even now.

Generally speaking scamming is frowned upon, i mean it's unfair advantage of the naive.

Which is why we have a no-scamming policy and can be enforced by any staff member.

Don't listen to portalatlas either, he's the reason we re-wrote the rules twice.
