Issues connecting to server

Was online for awhile, relogged, and then keep consistently getting this error message,

"Error occurred while contacting login servers, are they down?"

Launcher is 1.6.70 and states

[15:00:00] [Netty Client IO #0/INFO] [FML]: Attempting connection with missing mods [FastCraft, CustomMainMenu, inventorytweaks, ResourceLoader] at SERVER
[15:00:04] [Client thread/INFO]: Connecting to inf.craftersland.net, 25565

Doesn't give further information.

Googling this lead to

I think there were some issues with mojang login servers at that time, works fine now?
