Lag issues on Infinity Expert and how to adress them

There is an alternative to using the rftools dimensions. Use your quarries in the Twilight forest. They have none of the ore restrictions that the overworld has, and has treasure hills full of extra ores. Deep Dark is another alternative, since it is literally a mining dimension. I haven't used the rftools dimensional traveling since the server opened. The dimensional machines are surprisingly easy to get, since it is basically one of the first things most people aim for. It doesn't help that more endgame players literally just give away the machines to newer players. There are also many other methods rather than using the big reactors to generate power. You literally do not need to be OP to be end game.

My point is that if you, the players, actively try to reduce lag on your end by not using any laggy methods, or finding alternatives, the server itself will be less laggy.

Things that create lag:

Large numbers of cables/machines/objects with GUI. Big Reactors and Big Turbines.

Liquids.

Liquids with unusual properties. (Cryotheum, pyrotheum, the other -theums, liquid death, liquid pink slime, liquid glowstone, some others)

Lasers. Too many buildcraft lasers cause way too much lag and can even crash players.

Overly large automatic farms. Too many entities or tile entities. Giant tree farms. Giant Sequoias.

Quarries. Especially buildcraft quarries. Always aim for the ender quarry, which loads only the chunk it's in, and the chunk it's mining. BC quarries do the opposite, and load everything in their range.

There are a lot of other lag producing items, and if everyone, players including, actively played with an intent to reduce lag on their part, it would be much easier on the server. As staff, there is sometimes not much that we can do to reduce it, since most the time we can't locate the source. But if the players know what they are doing is causing lag, and thus low TPS, the players can fix themselves and not worry about it.

That's my two cents anyways.
