Astral sorcery does not work in the Direwolf20 1.12.2 server, Ive found that adding the linking tool to spawns shop might be the best solution. This will allow Crystals to be connected to crafting tables.

This is a great suggestion! 

Astral Sorcery does have strange bugs and issues, especially when trying to connect to the Luminous crafting table and Workbench.

I've gone ahead and added the Linking Tool from Astral Sorcery to the spawn, admin-shop for $200. Price based off of the items required to craft the tool and methods needed to craft.
