Banksia Slayer got a reaction from brunyman in Direwolf 1.19 Trains!
That's right! Who needs Waystones? The Create mod has trains! Not faster minecarts, actual trains, that you can build. It takes a bit of effort to make them look good (framed blocks are your friend), but once I found out about them, of course I had no choice but to build a railway.
Sadly I can only upload one image (anyone know how to make these screenshots smaller?) but I've done a railway from my base to near spawn, with a station each end, and a train with 4 passenger seats. One of the seats is occupied by a bee though. I'm also made a second train for trackwork - it has a roller on the back wagon.
Anyway, there's a bit of work involved, but these bigger trains are an awesome way to connect bases, they're surprisingly fast, and can be automated by putting a mob in the drivers seat (with a schedule). A production line to make the track is essential, preferably connected to an auto-crafting pattern. I built this stuff in the Direwolf 1.19 server, but the Create mod is in most of the newer packs.
Now I need to make some friends, so I can build a railway to their bases

Banksia Slayer got a reaction from llaya [LayaElisabeth] in RFtools dimensions only last a week.
    Hello
I've found an interesting problem with the custom dimensions.  As you already know, they are reset every week. You are probably also aware that this removes any teleportation system present in them - making them inaccessible. What you may not know is that they bug out when this happens: not only are they inaccessible, but any attempt to delete them and re-generate a fresh one (using the dimension editor), instantly crashes the server.
In practice, this means that any dimlet combination can only be used until the following Friday, then it is forever useless.
It's possible this is unavoidable - I assume there is a reason why you reset the dimensions, maybe this mod is just too buggy. But let me know if you think there is a fix for this.

Banksia Slayer got a reaction from LouisJohnston in Pls fix DW20 1.19 Server
Server is running much better now. One of the moderators finally got the permissions necessary to start fixing things. The player who was repeatedly griefing spawn, and lagging the server with his massive Integrated Dynamics setup, has been banned. The removal of part of his base has massively improved server performance.  As of yesterday, we're just waiting for spawn to be fixed.

Banksia Slayer got a reaction from TheBigDigga in Now I'm lagging the Server :(
    Hello
It's me again. Your chief bug-catcher. It now appears that whenever I'm on the server, it slows down, all machines and mobs are running  in slow motion (players still move at normal speed, makes killing mobs easy). Looks like some kind of lag.
Any  idea what could cause this. I initially thought it something in my base, but leaving my base doesn't seem to help (no chunks in my base are force-loaded), wherever I go the Server's still slow, even leaving my backpack behind doesn't help, but Server recovers as soon as I leave. Is there some kind of data associated with me that could slow down the server like this?

Banksia Slayer got a reaction from veber01 in Weekly Server reset breaks lots of things.
Cool. Thanks for following this up. Even if you only excluded the rftools and create mods from the reset, that would be most of the problem solved. The other mods you mentioned all have alternatives you can use, but no other mod has trains, and the fact that the rftools dimensions seem to be protected means you can't set up an alternative scheme for reaching them.
For what it's worth, I think resetting Refined Storage is definitely a good idea. As recorded on an earlier post, I've discovered the hard way what happens when you don't reset Refined Storage (I used external storage to avoid the weekly reset, my base got more and more laggy until one day all my stuff was gone). Clearly RS has big problems, in the week before my stuff deleted, about half of my teleports to my base would crash the server.
It is disappointing to hear that Immersive Engineering has such a design flaw, but there are plenty of alternatives for energy transport. If resetting data on that mod is necessary to avoid lag, I can use different wires. Better than causing unnecessary lag for everyone.
Integrated dynamics is one to watch. As far as I'm aware, only myself and one other player have used it for storage. It's possible it might have similar problems to RS - but let's hope not. I'll keep you posted. I've been experience unusual lag for the last few days, all my machines and mobs are moving/running in slow-motion. But it's not just in my base, so the source is difficult to confirm.
    Thanks for the help.
