Map Making Mods/tools?

Just a small topic to say, I need your help! I want the community to recommend mods and tools that I could use to help me build my map, these can be anything from simple things like Optfine to big things like WorldPainter.

You could use worldedit for building.

I use schematica to make schematics of my builds and use in different servers, maybe useful for you

McEdit is more useful than world edit since the singleplayer version is for 1.7.10. Also, you can add mods to mcedit and make awesome items, mobs , spawners , etc.
