Minecraft 1.9

Whats everyones opinion on the new 1.9 and the elytra wings and all the other stuff? is it stepping into modded minecraft too much?

Too much into modded? no.

Maybe it finally got to the point where stuffs need to go better... and it's not like it's easy to come by, those "wings", vanilla is still vanilla... plain, simple, for new players.

We will have pure survival updated in the near future to 1.9, i'm just waiting for some plugins to get 1.9 ready
