Mobspawning

Hey, i dont know is this a bug or what but i dont have any passive mobs spawning on my grass filed. Grass filed is like 30x30 only few pigs and chickens and maybe 1-2 cows spawned. I was afk for hours.. and nothing spawned. Yea its plain biome but firstly it wasnt a plain it was ocean i think then i changed it with /is com. is that what causes a problem ?

The server uses some mob spawning limits to keep the server running without lag, so when there are many players online and many of them have mod spawners and grinders the normal mob spawning will be reduced.

so that mean i should join at 3Am and afk ?

Try joining on weekdays at 6:00 AM GMT+2

 

Note to brunyman: I will speak with you about the lag limiter. so that I understand its behaviour in and out

For example if there are 2k mobs, vanilla spawning will be reduced to not go over the mobs limit, this will not limit spawning of mobs on spawners.
