acv1 AC v1 shop problem

I tried to buy an iron sword in the AC v1 player shop for 10 gold ingots but when I put them into the inventory of the villager I can't get the sword out.

It means the sword was already sold to another player. When the items sell from the chest the offer still remains in the villager's menu.

how do i know wich items are sold?

When you can't buy them

You can't know if an item is out of stock unless you try and buy it. Doesn't sound very practical, I know. There will be a new, much better market system in the updated AC server.
