so... I died on another players claim

Today I got into the nether, found a big cobblestone building with small holes in it, morphed into bat and went in there, lots of blazes kill me, when I got back, found out the area was claimed, so I cant get muy stuff back, what can I do? Also the player doesnt seem to be active

What should I do? Should I just give up my items?

As you died on another player's claim, your items now belong to that player. 

You may be able to recover your items if you contact the claim owner and ask them to retrieve your items
