Player attendance dropped sharply when 1.2.4 and SMP were released. Tekkit 2 was fun, but it was never a well balanced evolutionary step in the Technic series, we had to sacrifice a lot of functionality to prevent abuse, and the server plugins were always kind of broken on Tekkit 2 anyway. We need a fresh start with a proper buildout. I think it's fair to say Tekkit SMP is the Tekkit 2 we deserve. fwiw

It may seem convenient, but IC2 is meant to facilitate automation, and if everything can be conjured, then there's not much need for any automation. At that point, you might as well just use creative mode. I would, however, be in favor of adding IC2 recipes to Crafting Table IV. That would at least offer a reprieve from individually crafting some of the more tedious items.

I agree it's time for a refresh, and I mirror the sentiment above. Over the last couple of months, the topic has come up frequently in in-game chat, and I've seen very little opposition. Well-established players, including myself, would rather sacrifice everything we've built for a QOL improvement for gameplay and server community. I've seen a couple of newer players who were hesitant to agree but were easily convinced that the pros outweigh the cons. The majority of newer players either wholeheartedly agree on a reset or abandon ship early on due to tps issues. To help facilitate gameplay wellness, I've also thrown my name into the hat to represent CraftersLand. There's no reason Tekkit2 can't continue as a thriving server community with the right support.
