help Unable to join server

When i try to join the server it says "error occured while contacting login servers, are they down?"
anyone know how to fix this?

I have this same error on several occasions. I thought it was just my problem LOL

this can usely mean that the Minecraft servers are having problems

the minceraft login servers seem to be good , anything else it might be?

I am starting to jones here.. I need to play but Cannot! its been all day.... can a GM shut down my turbines and reactor please. I tried normal launcher/curse/ftb none seem to work.
