string not dropping from infested leaves

ive been informed by multiple people that string will not drop from leaves after infeasting it, i took it apon my self to check it out and i found it was true.

Any ideas on why this is happening and when it can be fixed?

I just tested it, infested leaves still not spreading to nearby leaves and breaking infested leaves still not dropping any string(tested with all 3 different crooks)

I have done several tests, it seems that Infested Leaves do spread just very slowly, maybe there is a spreading time for the leaves in config that could be lowered?
Also at first the infested leaves did not drop any string, but then i tried using acceleration wand (This wand when used on a block it will Accelerate the blocks own tick rate) And after a couple of seconds of using it the leaves did drop string.  This might be caused by server's low tick rate.

Maybe WAILA says it is 100% infected when in reality it isnt and we are breaking not completely infested leaves.
