Well if you are here it's either because it's your first time using a Compact Machine (I'll be calling them CMs from now on so that the post will be easier to read) or because you've already used one of them and got deleted/ has random barrier blocks inside them.
These problems happen quite often and so I'll explain why they happen and how to prevent them from happening on your next CM.
So CM work by creating a room in another dimension and by connecting that room to your CM block. The first time you place the block it'll say it's Unused.

And once you use the Personal Shrinking Device on it the CM will get linked to one of the rooms and here are two possibilities. It makes a new room or it goes to an existing room, for the second option you'll either find someone else's stuff and you'll be able to use it if you want or, if that person had made a room of a different size you'll find some invisible walls where the old walls where supposed to be.
Here the solution is quite simple, if you fall into someone else's CM make another one.
Now if I can manage to get into someone else's CM why wouldn't they be able to join mine? The answer is that they can by default. How ever there's a small option in your CM that prevents that from happening.
When you right click your CM block with your empty hand a menu will pop up and at the left you'll find a tab called Whitelist, just go there and Lock everyone from joining your CM.


It would be easier if that was set by default but at least your CM is safe now that you know how it works.

I completely agree. I've seen nothing but complaints about it both in my server and on the Discord, and has always been a point of frustration for me as every time I'm trying to help someone, it fills chat, completely derailing the conversation, so I either have to hope they saw it or repost it and feel like a spammer.
 
Blyatman mentioned the idea of a toggle, so if Bruny could code something for that, maybe we could have an opt out command?

Hi - Would it be possible to please remove this from spamming the chat every 3 minutes? (I'm on Revelation, but I assume this is network-wide).

It's awesome to see how well the server is doing, but this belongs on a status web page instead of shoving our chat away so frequently.

Description of Issue: Was trying to make Alchemical Brass for a player and my stupid scroll wheel jumped to my RFTools Storage Tablet, which basically had everything in it, and since I was right-clicking iron ingots at the same time, I right-clicked my Storage Tablet into the crucible at the same time, turning all my belongings into vis and flux. Since that was all of my possessions anyway, I'm just going with an inventory rollback.

I have played on many of CraftersLand Servers, all of which if there was an issue it was solved almost immediately due to the multitude of active staff, Direwolf 20 12.2 on the other hand only has one active staff member, and this can be and issue be an issue because with the number of people on the server at any given time there are bound to be problems, and with out active staff these issues either don't get solved and can take weeks to be resolved, the one staff we have it great and what she does but it would be beneficial for the server to have one or two more admin and a group of mods and helpers, if you would be willing to open the recruitment back up for direwolf 20 and pick up a few members that would be wonderful. thanks for your time and have a great day.

Astral Sorcery does have strange bugs and issues, especially when trying to connect to the Luminous crafting table and Workbench.
I've gone ahead and added the Linking Tool from Astral Sorcery to the spawn, admin-shop for $200. Price based off of the items required to craft the tool and methods needed to craft.
