I was harassed while trying to figure out why the town system was glitched for me it kept taking my money when I did /town claim and I confirmed that I made a town I spent over $400 trying to claim my house. When I was harassed he blew up what I was working on and his ign  was quartzwitch

Usually you claim your things before you start, but either you had insufficient funds, were too close to another town, didn't make a town, did /t claim instead of /town claim or did /t new rather than /town new

Excuse me, I'm overstepping my bounds here, BUT...

To be able to do /town claim you need to have more than $20 in your town bank, this is not the same as your balance.

To deposit money to your town bank from your balance you need to do the following command: /town bank deposit <amount>

So if you intend to add 2 chunks then deposit $40, or 9 chunks deposit $180. Etc. Etc.

Are you sure you did this? Other reasons why you couldn't claim land is that indeed you were too close to someone else's town, or the chunk you tried to claim was not "connected" to your first town chunk/spawn.( the chunk where you first did /town new, that's your townspawn. )

We use MyTown, not towny, therefore we do not have a town bank  It comes straight out of the player's personal account.

But being diagonal from a piece of claimed land is also a way that it could've not counted. It has to be adjacent as in on one of the four sides.

Quick question: did you make a town first with /town new [name], or did you go straight to /town claim? Otherwise, it will just take your money and put it into a place that doesn't exist.

This guy already has a town so u can T/C.  Also I don't even know him I offered to help him make a house.
