It is not that simple a solution or it would have been done. Tekkit Main 1.2.9g IS the latest recommended version of the mod pack. Tekkit Main was built for MC 1.6.4.  It cannot just be updated and still be a Tekkit server.  9 times out of 10 the server crashes due to user error, i.e. looped tesseracts, overloading a chunk with machines, or computer craft coding errors.

 

it's not pleasant but for what it's worth the owner has done a TON of work to clean up the mod pack, and has mods active on the server that many Tekkit servers do not. I've always been quite impressed by the robustness of the server especially considering the age of this mod pack and what is available.

Hi, the crashes issues happen when some machines get bugged in someone's base this can happen when different machines from different mods interact. We did fix some of these issues, but allot of the mods in this pack don't share the source code so we can fix everything.
