a_400 Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 Are macro keys ok to use like for clicking or pressing w instead of me?
xRegency Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 No, it does fall under the no hacked clients rule; [1] No Hacked Clients
a_400 Posted July 4, 2018 Author Posted July 4, 2018 But what about physical-mechanical lock/press? as I cant use my mouse integrated circuit.
FreeFallFTW Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 If it can offer you an unlegitimate advantage,no,even if you don't use it agaisnt others.
a_400 Posted July 4, 2018 Author Posted July 4, 2018 So if I place a "brick" on a key or my mouse button to lock it in place is alright?
Henk Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 I consider it a hardly defined line but how I personally define it is by if it’s a modification to the game, unfairly benefits you compared to others, or if it completely automates a process. There is no difference between using a macro or place a ”brick” on your mouse. I think this is minor enough to be allowed, and i know tons of people who uses a weight to hold a key down when doing SF3. And we can’t ban for something that small and as it’s not any modification, or big advantage, or full automation then I think it’s fine. As long as you don’t use macros to automate more complex mechanics in the future as here is where I draw the line. I mean, you’ll be using auto sieves soon enough anyways.
a_400 Posted July 4, 2018 Author Posted July 4, 2018 Thanks for the help now that I know its not something illegal to do I can breathe easily.
