Yes it could be amazing but they won't change it I prefear the 1.8 or 1.7 pvp mode without delay too.

I feel like Minecraft 1.8+ has followed the same path Microsoft Windows has taken since Windows 8. Not very surprising since Mojang was bought by Microsoft.
