Add chunkloaders

Well it seems this is a very hot topic in the forums, but here are my $0.02...

The integrated Chunkloader has been WIP for over a year, looks doubtful that it will get finished. Why not add your own CL based loader? You can a base of 1 chunk with perhaps more to rank members. There are other networks that do this and they have no issues. People either add the mod or use the launcher.

Why? Well, it is highly inconvenient to not have access to your stuff while you are out exploring... or out in space. For instance I tried to link my home ME system to my spacestation and it works great for about 20 seconds after I leave my base... Whats the alternative? Well I guess we have to build the same things 2 or 3 times, which is not only a pain in the you know where, but could potentially add to more server load if somehow those chunks all remain loaded at the  same time...

And having chunkloaders as rank perks may even entice more people to purchase a rank...

Hey,

I think this would be an amazing addition to the Continuum Server for a couple of reasons, which are:

The free lava at spawn, currently as it stands the free lava at spawn is not chunkloaded which results in anyone using the littlest bit of lava from the tanks instantly drains it, so it being un chunkloaded defeats the who purpose of having free lava at the spawn, same goes for the free water.

People's bases/space stations etc, as you stated on discord, it's annoying to have to go back and forth to remake materials because you cannot chunk load your ME System with a quantum ring, and a chunkloader would be able to fix this, it would also be able to fix power issues that could occur such as someones reactor or solar panels not being loaded so their machines that require power won't get that and do their jobs.

I was looking around for alternatives to add as chunkloading that wouldn't require other users to install mods and what I found was:
https://github.com/KasperFranz/BetterChunkLoader

I managed to get it working with a few hiccups, it's all depending on the server managers if they're willing to implement this, but overral I agree with your suggestion of adding chunkloaders, it'll improve the overall quality of life for continuum. But as it currently stands I don't know if the managers/bruny has anything planned for Continuum and adding chunkloaders.

Thanks for the suggestion and I hope it gets implemented into Continuum, since it'll help out alot of players.

Cont. comes with this which is usable in single player and suggests compatibility with multiplayer:

On a separate note, I've worked out that on this server, players don't load the chunks near them, but instead load blocks in a 48-block (3 chunk widths) radius sphere around them. This means that a base that fits in a sphere of radius 24 blocks (1.5 chunk widths) would be fully loaded if you are anywhere in it.

But that mean when you are not in the base (like on the space or mining or have to move to the next chunk), machines will be unloaded. Also it force you to build everything that most convenient for you so that you will not unload any chunks, in that case is put everything on the edge of the middle chunk or on the middle chunk

The Chunkloader is already in the pack, We are just waiting for Tech Reborn to update and finish the WIP for it.

Looking at Github and nothing has been touched on TR in about a year... thinking maybe no longer being maintained. Either way I think CL should look at something else in the interim...
