  1. Hi everyone,

As you already know, we've always been quite flexible -dare I say, generous- with command requests. As long as the commands requested are reasonable, safe to use and don't mess with others' gameplay experience or affect server integrity/performance, there's a good chance that we'll end up granting them.

In fact, there's one perk in particular that keeps coming up in command requests. It's none other than WorldEdit. Frequently asked for, we've been cool with giving people WorldEdit on our survival servers, even though it sort of defeats the purpose of a (pure) survival experience.

However, during the last few months, we have been getting more and more reports of incidents involving abuse of WorldEdit permissions, to the point where it's now starting to get out of hand. In light of these circumstances, we no longer feel comfortable with giving people access to WorldEdit on any Vanilla server. As much as we don't want to disappoint those who have been using WorldEdit the right way, this change is necessary in order to protect our community from the ever-increasing number of abusive players that have been causing all sorts of trouble.

To this end, we have removed WorldEdit from all Sponsors across the Vanilla Network and will no longer provide access to it.

So, please keep this in mind when you post your next command request topic. You'll still be able to request other commands as usual.

    Thanks for your understanding.

Could Staffs use the "Article" topics in "News" for making articles and announcemets? Also if we wanna do some events and post updates of our moddalities?

That's a pretty good idea actually. We should start using the articles page more, maybe make a tab for it in the navigation menu so it's easily accessible. It's a nice format for posting announcements and updates.

  3. I couldn't agree more with this. AC has always been about exploration and really pushing yourself to get to the end of all the amazing, intricate parkours we've put together over the years. I think it's important that we don't encourage cheating in any way, shape or form. Flying through the dungeons only spoils the experience and harms the server's economy in the long run.

I'm not saying we're definitely making this change, but I will tell you that we're seriously considering it.

  4. Okay, here's the thing about deleting all of your content.

Deleting posts breaks the flow of the archived conversation and it makes our archive incomplete. This is a problem for the freedom of expression and information. But Art.17(3) GDPR includes an exception to the right of erasure for this situation. So posts do not need to be deleted.

However, profiles are not included in this exception. So they must be removed, but they can be pseudonymized. For example, we can replace your username with e.g. user89432 and remove all details from the profile.

If other posts contain the nick of the author of an anonymized post, that is considered a journalistic, academic, artistic or literary expression, so Art. 85 GDPR would apply. So, the right of erasure does not apply to that.

Bottom line: In order for us to protect the integrity and coherence of our community forums, we really only have to pseudonymize your account upon your request for deletion.
