We recently added a custom recipe to our Infinity server, a way to obtain Basalt through crafting as it's quite rare to find in nature this was a good alternative. The crafting recipe is: That's going to give you four pieces of industrialcraft 2 basalt, which can't be chiseled. If you want the ProjectRed basalt you can convert it at the trade-o-mat in spawn.
