Items refunded to the Player T/C

That is my opinion aswell, even tho i have never touched tekkit except for like 5 minutes. There are like 2 - 3 other Servers with way less players, how about removing them first if you want to shut down dead servers?
-
I would say so as its just the regular Nomifactory Pack with CE replaced with CEu, so the updates coming to the true Nomifactory will also be in the CEu port. So it shouldn't be much of a difference which to choose, but CEu as Gregtech Version is way better, thats for sure

Yeah i don't want to kick off the discussion about updating servers again. So you are completely right Oh really? Should have played the regular nomifactory. Didn't know it has that kind of multiblocks aswell. Guess you mean some kind of processing array where you can put any kind of machine in there, right? Anyways GCYM (The Multiblock Mod) adds another stuff aswell. So i can just suggest it, its pretty nice and also the CEu machines look better (Glowing Coils when EBF is on, Glowing Machines at all etc..)

Either that or if you want it a bit 'newer' and better, you can switch to the CEu Port of Nomifactory which replaces Gregtech Community Edition with Gregtech Community Edition Unofficial which is by far better and under active development. The CEu Port of Nomifactory also comes with Gregtech CEu Multiblocks which implements few new Multiblocks, so you don't have to build 10x the same machine to gain more speed, you can just build the multiblock version of it. (Should save (server) resources)

So you wanna say, that "Having the problem now vs having it later doesn't change it". I'll give you another moment to think about it again and reflect. (Maybe check how CL handles the Server after an uptime of like 7-8 Months I'll explain it for you again. (it should be self-explaining) GTNH takes several Months, even up to a year, to finish if you are not that experienced. Planets and large systems should feel rewarding as soon as you're able to craft it. We still talk about spawning in every machine, every Item and so on. It is hard for a good reason, not to spawn the stuff in i just need. That is the sense of the Modpack. "Work hard, automate your factory and get rewarded for your hard work" - Yeah, hard work and a thank you as a reward is a foreign word for some............

Why would a vote be very polar? Why should I vote against GMC if it has no bearing on something. This is not a race. You are misinterpreting this. There are 2 problematic aspects: Pollution: Pollution is very difficult to control. If someone just spawns a T8 Rocket in and starts it, then they usually don't care about the side effects. Pollution spreads over to other Chunks, you should know that when you have already reached the moon There have been a couple of cases where someone has spawned T8 Rockets and created massive amounts of pollution. This is then skipped over to another player and his complete Base was "devastated". Parallel Ticking: In GTNH, the tick rate determines the speed of the machines. The tick rate is getting lower the more TEs are running at the same time. Since many GMC players want to build a relatively complex base and also build complex systems and processing arrays there, they only promote the slowing down of the tick rate. At a Tickrate from 1:4 ( 1 Second ingame takes 4 seconds in RL) nobody wants to play there anymore. In Midgame you have to wait several hours for materials to be processed. I personally don't want to wait 4h for a Material that should only take 1h to process. Of course, every normal player does that, but the difference is that a GMC player spawns everything in a split second. Of course, that won't fix the problem, but we will delay the problem from Days to Months. You are also welcome to visit other GTNH servers. I am sure that hardly anyone gives out GMC for a good reason. GMC is not intended for this modpack. It destroys the sense of the game.
-
I will just respond to your last point: Let's just compare. A normal player would need around 500-600 hours to get into IV. From here you really have to have a lot of TileEntites. A creative player simply spawns a full system into it. Doesn't take 20 minutes. Now calculate how long it takes to play 500 hours in Days. Not to mention the fact that many players would not play that long because the Modpack is gradually getting more difficult and complicated. The only argument that works here would be the fact that we are only postponing the problem. However, there is no other option. I'd rather have lag after, let's say 6 months, instead of 1 week, right? I just think that GMC users simply owe it and try to optimize their systems if they can get it that quickly. About the first point.. I think the Management will come to a conclusion.

Sounds good, would like to see how many people want to see gmc removed.
-
Hi, Yes, we use MyTown. Regardless of the mod we use, you will still get the "claimblocks". It increases the amount of claimable chunks instead of claimblocks. The costs for a claim increases for every chunk by 20$ ( 100$ + 20$(amount of chunks)) I've forwarded the Issue with the "No loss of xp on death".
-
Well, we can discuss about the Stainless Steel, but the other stuff gets useless pretty fast too. Ok, we can remove the Rerolls. Sounds good. Thought about the Endertank already. Maybe i put the tank into the Mystic since its sort of a gamebreak. ( You can avoid pipes and can send fluids intra-dimensional)
-
I plan to change the Legendary and Mystic Crate a bit. Items like Calcite Dust or Gypsium Dust become useless pretty quickly. As a result, these crates quickly become unattractive and no longer worthwhile. Now that we have some advanced players on our server, I ask you to come up with suggestions for these crates. These Items shouldn't be gamebreaking. We will then discuss these in detail. Possible changes so far: Legendary Crate: - Remove Calcite Dust - Remove Gypsium Dust - Add Stainless Steel Dust or Ingot ( Maybe i put them into the Material Rescue Kit ) - Add Magnets - Add Backpacks - Add Conduits + Filters - Remove Rerolls Mystic Crate: - Add Ender Tank - Add Titanium / Naquadah - Remove Rerolls
-
Can you describe it in more detail? The claiming was not changed much apart from the price increases

Aura Nodes naturally spawn in many Dimensions. Exploring the Map is an important task in GTNH,that's why we're not going to add Aura Nodes to the spawn YET.

Hi, for which Server is this? Also please use the respective Server Sub-Forum and use the template which can be found under Technical Support.

Last updated: 08. December 2020 14:05 (2:05pm CET) So you are about to start one of the heaviest modpacks? Then check this really short guide and read carefully. This short guide is designed to help you avoid nonsensical mistakes that many newbies make. Our GT:NH-Server uses jobs. This means that you can earn money in-game. Crafter, Woodcutter or Miner are just a few of the jobs available. They are not completely ready yet, but we will update them constantly. For now you can have up to 3 Jobs +++++ THE JOB CRAFTER DOES NOT WORK YET +++++ Probably the biggest job is the "Crafter" job. At the Moment, several hundred machines are currently added. To check which machine gives how much money, check this Excel Sheet So, lets go the Modpack itself: As you may have seen, the nights are extremely dark. Hardcore Darkness also removes the last remaining brightness from your 7000$ High-End Monitor and you can't do anything against it. GT: New Horizons comes with a well structured quest book and contains more than 2500 Quests. The Questbook will be your best friend for the next few months, so be careful not to lose it. In case you are just as careless as I am, you can open your quest book with "~". Also check the control settings, not that something overlaps. So let us start then! First of all, of course, you want to leave the spawn and find a suitable point to settle at. For that you can use the Random TP Signs at Spawn to find a nice location. And right here it starts to get really stupid. Now just take a look in the upper left corner. This thing is called Ingame Info. As you can see, important things are displayed there. Have you ever seen humidity in Minecraft? Be careful, that is one of the criteria by which you should choose your base location. In Early game ( Your early game will be exhausting, devastating and stressful and REALLY LONG ) you need water, of course, as in any other modpack. However, water is not infinite here, at least not in natural sources such as oceans, rivers, lakes etc. Accordingly, you have to find other ways to have permanent water. How about some rainwater? Water-Tanks are the way to go. These have a standard filling rate which depends on the humidity. It doesn't have to rain for that! You are hungry? Okay, let's look for some food. Oh, you have found some pigs and think it will last a while? Unfortunately I have to disappoint you. GTNH contains the Mod "Spice of Life". Spice of Life forces you to eat different things. You can't eat the same thing several times in a row. But there is also good news. You will be rewarded the more different food you have eaten: You will gain new hearts and increasing your max health! Avoid the Nights! The monsters here are extremely cruel and strong. Therefore, try to position yourself securely for the first few nights. Create a town as soon as possible, Monster Spawn is turned off by default there. Use NEI properly! GTNH has tons of different recipes. Some are more efficient and conserve resources, others are not. So always try to find the best recipe and keep an eye out for new things that you can already craft! Pollution? in Minecraft? Pollution will quickly become a problem. Pretty much everything produces pollution. This means that you will quickly feel adverse side effects. Poison, blindness or slowness are just a few of these effects. To see which machines produce pollution, look at the description of these machines in NEI. Pollution can spread across chunks. Pollution will naturally dissipate over time albeit slowly. Later, however, you can also use the Pollution Scrubber to get the pollution under control. Do not cross chunk boundaries: Later you will also build your first multiblocks such as the BBF. It is extremely important that you do not build these across chunks. This can lead to significant problems. I told you! Well, I could list a lot more now. However, everything can be found in detail in the quest book. You can also read certain mechanics or how the OreGeneration works in the GTNH Wiki. Wiki: https://gtnh.miraheze.org/wiki/Main_Page To see, where all the Ores spawn and more advanced stuff, you can check out this: Excel Sheet: Excel Sheet Below you can find useful screens with important processing lines (Made by Sampsa): Glass Process Line: Electronic Circuit (LV): Electronic Circuit (MV - IV): Industrial TNT Process Line (MV - IV): Aspect Chart: Platinum Process Line:

Yeah, lets see. Good JVM Arguments may fix some of the lags. I'm just wondering why the poll is still open. The results haven't changed much in the past 1-2 weeks. The last time the poll was closed after 2 days. Many players are waiting for that
-
I think that atleast one of these 2 highest voted Packs ( actually ) will fit to you. Also both of them need atleast 6gb of ram. If you want a classic Kitchensink like Revelations ( you still can't compare these 2 ), then ATM3 is for you, i haven't played it long enough to give more Information. If you want a really hard progression Modpack built around Gregtech5 with a lot custom written mods and with pretty realistic Chemistry, Machinery, Space Exploration ( 20 Planets iirc ) and the Stargate as Endgame, you really should try GT: New Horizons.
-
Yes, probably not anytime soon. We don't have an ETA for the Polls to be closed yet. But I can promise you one thing: We're just as excited as you are!

Future new modded servers, what modpack do you want?
Kiyanox replied to brunyman's topic in Minecraft News
Same opinion. Long lasting fun but a 1.7.10 pack. Very active Modpack-Devs which fix bugs pretty fast. Due to the massive Progression tree, you have to invest a lot time, dealing with the good and bad things happening while running diverse machines, players may get binded to the server for a while.
