As someone who has played tekkit 2 for a while now, replacing tekkitmain with tekkit 2 would overall feel like a downgrade since tekkit 2 is just a more modern tekkit classic while tekkitmain has more mods to play with
It would make more sense to close up other servers that generally see no people playing than closing tekkitmain which still has a decent playerbase

imo, there's no need to keep the dead servers opened.

What is an ME system?
I see many people asking, what exactly is an ME system? The most simple answer to that would be: a really cool chest. But an ME system is far more than that. As you will see in this guide, it allows you to do many fantastic things such as, accessing your items from different locations, auto-crafting items when you need them, as well as storing a huge amount of items (we’re talking millions here) in just a few blocks worth of space.
If you are just getting started, the guide is structured in such a way that will build up slowly as you go along. If you already know what an ME system is and how to use it, feel free to skip around and look at only the bits you’re interested in.

I was frustrated with the annoying sound of the Power Armour Jet sound, after some digging I found the following local config that allows disabling it :
edit $TekkitFiles/technic/modpacks/tekkitmain/config/machinemuse/numina.cfg then change "Use Sounds" to false .
 
 
Now I run the portable java version on Ubuntu, so $TekkitFiles is next to my .jar launcher , other versions might have that in different folders depending on the OS . 

Comment below if you have any questions of if you know the exact location of this file on different OS .

Ever had an item on the ground vanish? Maybe you have, maybe you haven't.
This could be a result of Entity Wipe.
You never know when it is going to happen, so you can not leave anything on the ground without fear of it being wiped.
I am suggesting a warning which appears in chat prior to the 'Entity Wipe'. A warning in chat "Entities are cleared in 1 minutes time, any items on the ground will be deleted.", also possibly another warning 10 or so seconds before. 
I play on Infinity Evolved, I encounter losing items at random times, such as: When using the lumber axe to chop down large trees there are many entities to collect, having prior indication to a entity clearing would prevent the chopping of the tree until after the clear and not losing any resources. Also when bidding and purchasing from the auction, sometimes having a full inventory requires the items to drop on the floor. In the past making space for the dropped items won from the auction are cleared because of the entity wipe. 
If the server was to have a notice for the entity clearing then users could wait until after the clearing to start their auction (if they are auctioning a large amount of items). 
also If possible limit total amount of entities in the server, when entity limit is reached then the oldest entity is deleted. (or the oldest 100/1000 entities are wiped) Then we would not need a warning just don't leave the items on the ground for so long. <but problem with this is that players are able to dump as many entities as they want on the ground (deleting all other entities of other players).

This guide is to help you have a working space stations since you might encounter the bug of them not working and not dropping stuff when you break them when you first create one. We will look and list the procedure to actually make them work. It is very important to follow these steps so you don't get locked out of your space station.
 
Make a space station with the following inside  A chest 2 CO2 Scrubbers 1 Oxygen Vent 1 Lever 1 Powercell (Medium+) / Energy Cell Satellite Bay Guidance Computer Warp Core (Fully built) and a spare Warp Core Block Warp Computer Process it correctly in the Space Station Assembler and make several copies of the Space Station ID Chip. Make a rocket and in the Guidance Computer put the Space Station ID Chip, then put the Space Station Container in the Satellite Bay Make sure you go up with several High Pressure Tanks filled with Oxygen installed in your Space Station suit, you can equip a jetpack if you desire so too, just don't go up with extra inventory space like backpacks since it might corrupt your space station if the following issues happen. Launch your rocket and wait to get teleported to Space DIM  
Now there's 2 things that may happen, either you spawn on y1000 and you'll see on your minimap you spawned besides your space station, do not panic, just hover to the top of your space station and wait for you to gently fall to your space station. If that doesn't happen it means you spawned correctly in your space station, but you'll notice you're not able to break stuff. Follow these steps if you're having this problem.
 
Go inside your space station, make sure you're able to have space to move.  Disconnect inside the space station and reconnect in a span of 30 seconds. Once you're back in the server you'll either spawn inside the space station or once again in y1000, just wait for you to fall. Break whatever block you want to come inside or if you got a preinstalled airlock door setup just press the buttons or pull the lever.  
You'll notice you're able to use everything now, just confirm you're able to use everything and when you do replace the Warp Core by the spare one you brought with yourself.
 
Now you can start using space stations and keep on going with the quest line

So this is a spare time side project that me and some old collage friends started more then 1 year ago, I did the code part while they did the graphics, animations and sounds.
 
This game is called Taponaut, it's a small free mobile game that we did more for practice and see if we can actually do it, it's not monetized and the game idea was to control an astronaut and help him fly over obstacles and try to go as far as you can, there is also a stats area with achievements and best high score scoreboard.
