Here's a little (probably not) guide to the town permissions. Hopefully, this guide will help solve problems and clear misunderstandings in the present and future. I noticed there are a few different topics about MyTown commands/permissions but they seem to be a little outdated. Frankly, I couldn't be bothered editing them. This is only a guide for the town perms, no other commands have been added as there are other topics on it.

The password is in place to prevent other people from logging in as you. If I remember correctly 1.6.4 doesn't support UUID verification or something like that and since we support offline mode we put this method in place to prevent an account being used by others without permission.
This was not called for. If I remember correctly, Minecraft is a 7+ game and therefore there is no problem with allowing children to play it.
It is not difficult to remember one single password then there's something wrong with your memory skills. However, I can understand forgetting your password after a long period of time without playing, therefore we are capable of resetting one's password and allowing the player to create a new one.
